Well....it turns out it was the belt. The sound seemed to be coming from the front pully, so we started there. After removing the front cover, the belt seemed to be rubing up against the side of the front pully. We tried check with a level, but ended up lifting the back of the bike and spining the wheel. We just adjusted the belt until it was not binding up front, and NO MORE NOISE !!! Again, thanks for all the sugestions....
